Introducing India’s first Ayurvedic Sheet Masks

Published on:

In Ayurveda, the art of applying face masques is known as Lepana. It is an important part of “Mukhprakshalan” or the Ayurvedic facial care regime. Different Lepas or masques are recommended in the holy grails of Ayurveda – the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, to maintain ageless skin, increase hydration levels and enhance the skin’s complexion.

Traditionally in India, face masks were made of many natural fibres including wood pulp, banana fibre and corn sheets. There were elaborate ancient techniques of infusing these “sheets” with various Kashyams or herbal decoctions which when applied to the skin, could be absorbed more effectively.

Reviving and taking inspiration from Ayurvedic tenets, Forest Essentials is delighted to present to you a unique product of many years of innovation – India’s first ever Ayurvedic Sheet Masks.

Why prefer an Ayurvedic sheet mask over an ordinary face mask?

The Forest Essentials Ayurvedic Sheet Masks are an amalgamation of highly effective Ayurvedic ingredients, traditional methodologies and innovative modern technology. A combination of specific herbs, roots, minerals, and a hundred times washed Ghee or Shat Dhaut Ghrit, is blended into a deep conditioning serum called a Kashyam. A biodegradable cotton cellulose mask is then soaked into this potent serum, which when applied to the face, adheres to the skin to transfer ingredients deep within, for instant results.

From deeply hydrating, firming and lifting, to brightening and lightening, this trio of Sheet Masks targets a number of skin concerns with only the freshest, purest and most natural ingredients.
