Multani Mitti is considered to be a great cleansing and exfoliating agent for the skin. It has active elements which absorb oil, dirt, sweat and impurities, and leave the skin clean, soft and supple. Often used in the form of a masque or an exfoliator, Multani Mitti removes the excess sebum and controls oil production in the skin; this is in turn controls and calms frequent acne on the skin, especially with teenagers. Enriched with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, it helps soothe inflamed skin and redness. It is often used as a Spot Treatment on active acne, to soothe and cool. Multani Mitti acts as a cooling agent as well and hence, is used to soothe rashes, sunburns and infections. It has a toning effect on the skin, due to which it effectively reduces open pores, blackheads and whiteheads.
