A 4 Step Ritual for Gorgeous Hair in the Monsoon

Hair Cleansers and Conditioners

Monsoon is one of the eagerly awaited seasons of the year, as it signals the end of the hot and exhausting summer season. While the monsoon is a welcome respite from the scorching heat, it’s a testing time for your hair.

The season means a lot of humidity, which leads to various hair issues including an oily scalp, frizzy and dull hair, dandruff, and most of all, hair fall. Looking for the right ingredients in your Hair Cleansers and Hair Conditioners can be a savior when controlling these hair problems. It is best advised to use a sulphate free, natural, herbal oil infused, shampoo and conditioner.

To prevent the rains from getting the best of your hair, we’ve curated a list of some Monsoon Haircare Tips from our in house Ayurvedic Doctor:

How to Address Hair fall, Dandruff and Frizzy Hair?

Dandruff tends to increase during this season due to excess moisture in the weather. The scalp feels oily and most often than not, also leads to frequent hair fall and frizz.

Follow this four step Monsoon Hair Care approach:

Ayurvedic Head massage oils

1. Head Massage with the Bhringraj Head Massage oil

Deep oil conditioning is a great remedy for tackling these hair problems. Try the Forest Essentials Bhringraj Head Massage oil. Infused with the Ayurvedic herb – Bhringraj amongst its very potent ingredients, this cold-pressed oil bestows nourishment to both your scalp and the strands of your hair. Warm the oil and apply on to head, starting from the scalp down to the ends of your tresses. Next, wrap your hair in a warm towel for thirty minutes. After that the hair can be cleansed.

2. Frizzy Hair Treatment with the Japapatti and Brahmi Hair Masque

With high humidity levels comes frizz. A weekly deep conditioning treatment is highly recommended during these days. Not only does the treatment make your hair more manageable, but the extra hydration keeps your strands smooth and moisturized.

The Forest Essentials Intensive Hair Repair Japapatti & Brahmi Masque is a rich creamy pre-shampoo masque, that is specially designed to protect, repair and nourish hair from deep within. It is rich in intensive repair agents including Banana pulp and fresh herb infusions of Methi, Brahmi and Nagarmotha that help repair hair and leave it with ample gloss and shine.

It should be applied on dry hair along the length of your hair and not on the scalp. Leave the masque on for a maximum of thirty minutes, and use once a week.

3. Cleansing the Hair and Scalp with the Bhringraj and Shikakai Hair Cleanser

After masking, hair can be cleansed with the Bhringraj & Shikakai Hair Cleanser. This cleanser is based on an ancient Ayurvedic recipe, and is free from harsh Sulphates that tend to dry your hair. This cleanser is infused with herbs including Bhringraj and Shikakai, Black Sesame Oil and pure Goat’s Milk – ingredients known to control hair thinning and breakage, and promote hair.

4. Deep Conditioning with the Japapatti and Brahmi Hair Conditioner

After cleansing the hair, it is recommended to condition with the Bhringraj and Shikakai Hair Conditioner. This is enriched with rich and nutritive Coconut Milk and contains a potent blend of Ayurvedic herbs including Licorice, Bhringraj and Shikakai extracts. This hair conditioner works for intense repair and also silkening of the hair. If you have frizzy hair, be rest assured – this is your miracle worker for the Monsoon!
